Hello! My name is Renee Boyett, and here’s a little big about me.
I’m in my 30s and married to a wonderful man named Joe. I pass for early twenties (average 21) and my husband, who is in his 40s, passes for my actual age. It gives us giggles.
As you can likely figure out from my header image I’m a HUGE Dragon Age fan. When the first game, Dragon Age: Origins, was released I was instantly hooked. Since then I have purchased all the games, all the DLCs, nearly all the novels, RPG books, artbooks, as well as some apparel. I also write fanfiction and currently I’m working on creating fanart using quilting and sewing methods.
I play several other games besides all the Dragon Age games. I have World of Warcraft, Star Wars the Old Republic, Diablo 3, Guild Wars 2, The Witcher 3, and…a lot more. I’m really crazy picky about my games.
Besides gaming I’m also an artist. I paint, doodle, draw, color line art, sew, quilt, and play with photography. My art/sewing room is really small but at some point when we buy a house I will have much larger room to work in.
I’m also a science junkie. This includes science fiction novels, Bill Nye the Science Guy, lost of shows and movies regarding science, science fiction films, etc. My dream job was to be an astrophysicist, but I can’t do the numbers.
Besides being an avid reader, and artist, I also write. Right now it’s fanfiction and poetry. I need to improve my style, technique, grammar, and other stuff. I’ve been working on putting together an outline for a two part book based off an awesome dream I had. I also hope to put an illustrated (by me) children’s book (possibly a series) about my two cats.
Oh, yes, I have pets. They’re Jasper (a caramel tabby) and Cacoa (half Bombay/half American Shorthair). I really should have named Cacoa Mischief and Jasper should be named Mayhem. Cacoa can detect my seizures (I have epilepsy), and insists on keeping me in her sight at all times. If she can’t see me she panics. When I sew she sits on a pair of folded house pants I set on my cutting table and sleeps. Jasper is Joe’s cat by nature. We adopted him two years after Cacoa, but Jasper bonded so much to Joe he’s his cat. Both cats get angry if we’re gone for too long, and Jasper insists on spending time with my husband after he gets home from work.
